State police say that a car crashed on the Garden State Parkway Wednesday morning and ended up in a nearby wooded area.
The crash happened just before 11 a.m. on the northbound side of the highway near Exit 82.
It was not immediately made clear if there were any injuries.
This is the second motor vehicle crash in the area in just a few hours.
New Jersey State Police say that another car collided with a tanker truck in the southbound lanes, also in Toms River around 2:20 a.m. Four people were killed in that crash, according to authorities.
