The body of a 24-year-old man has been recovered from a Mahwah pond after he went missing while paddle boarding.

The body of a 24-year-old man has been recovered from a Mahwah pond after he went missing while paddle boarding.
The 24-year-old is believed to have drowned Dators Pond. He was out on the water with his older brother on Monday, according to police. He reportedly lost his balance and fell into the water.
Dive teams were called out to try to find the man, who has not been identified. Rescue crews, utilizing sonar devices and cadaver dogs, searched into the night but had to call off the search because of the darkness.
The search resumed Tuesday morning. The body was recovered around 8 a.m.
Police say that the missing man’s brother was able to get out of the water safely.
