A man from Bayonne was fatally struck by a car Saturday on the Garden State Parkway in Sayreville.

State police say the man’s car had broken down in the center lane. He was standing in the left lane when two separate cars collided. One of those vehicles rear-ended the man’s car, which then hit him.

Police say the crash is under investigation.
