Port Authority police have given the all-clear after a suspicious package was investigated at Newark Liberty International Airport Saturday evening.
A large police presence had gathered by Terminal A before police later announced that the scene had been cleared.
Officials say a pressure cooker, in a brown paper bag, was left near a garbage can outside Terminal A.
The scare prompted a partial evacuation of the airport's departure level. Investigators determined the pressure cooker was not a threat and the terminal was reopened.
Police are now trying to figure out who left the pressure cooker.
Police said some passengers could expect residual delays.
