A 77-year-old man was found dead after a fire broke out in East Brunswick, police say.

The fire started around 5 a.m. Tuesday on Lear Court.

The man was found inside the home after firefighters put out the flames.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known, but officials said that it did not appear to be suspicious.

The man’s identity was not immediately released.
