New Jersey State Police say a 73-year-old woman died in a crash involving a tractor-trailer and an SUV.
Nilda Ortiz, of Roselle, was killed Sunday morning along a stretch of the New Jersey Turnpike near Linden.
According to police, Ortiz was driving southbound on the turnpike when she stopped and was rear-ended by a tractor-trailer.
The driver of the tractor-trailer waited at the scene and was struck when an SUV hit Ortiz's car.
Ortiz was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
The driver of the tractor-trailer sustained moderate injuries.
The driver of the SUV waited for police to arrive.
No charges have been filed.
