Fairfield police and other departments helped rescue 46 dogs from heavy smoke conditions inside a building on Saturday night.
Authorities say a call at around 9:30 p.m. reported that there was smoke seen at the Pio Costa Industrial Complex on Bloomfield Avenue.
Several businesses are housed at the complex, including the K9 Resorts Luxury Pet Hotel.
