Police: 2 men suffered head injuries from hammer attack
Police in Newark say two men have been hospitalized with head injuries following a hammer attack.
The attack happened Thursday shortly after 2:30 p.m. on Freeman Street, near Fleming Avenue.
Police responded to the scene and found the two victims with head injuries and a hammer believed to be used in the assault.
Both victims were taken to University Hospital and are in stable condition.
Police did not release information on suspects.
