Two Jersey City high school students were injured after they were attacked during their lunch break.
It wasn't clear what sparked yesterday's attack, which happened around noon at a site near Ferris High School. Officials say the 16- and 17-year-old victims were allowed off school grounds.
Police say one victim was stabbed in the shoulder with a sharp object, believed to be a knife. The other was hit in the head with a baseball bat, but their injuries aren't considered life-threatening.
Police believe the attack wasn't random.
