A car crash Friday in Lawrence Township left an 11-year-old and a 5-year-old in critical condition, according to police.

Authorities say it happened at the intersection of Brunswick Pike and Darrah Lane.

Officers at the scene found the two unresponsive in the back of a car. Both were airlifted to a hospital.

Police say five other people had injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
