Police say a 14-year-old girl was robbed at gunpoint in Bedford Park.

NYPD officials say she was on her way to school at the time. This all happened in front of 213 East 198th Street in front of Mexican Deli and Grocery.

Officials tell News 12 that a man ran up on the 14-year-old from behind and snatched her necklace. Police say the girl got scared and dropped her phone. He ran off with the phone as well, according to police.

The phone and the necklace were both worth more than $2,000.
