Police say one man was killed and four people were injured in a four-vehicle crash in East Rutherford early Sunday morning.
The crash happened in the eastbound lanes of Route 3 near the Meadowlands Sports Complex around 3:20 a.m.
Officials say that a 24-year-old man was killed in the crash and three others suffered serious injuries. They say one person has minor injuries. The victim has not yet been identified. All of the victims were taken to Hackensack University Medical Center.

Lanes were shut down for several hours, leading those traveling to the Giants-Ravens game to use service roads to get to MetLife Stadium. Police say that all lanes have since been reopened.

East Rutherford police and the Bergen County Prosecutors Office are investigating the crash.
