One person has been found dead after police responded to reports of a man possibly struck by lightning.

Westampton police were called to the Burlington Country Club on Burrs Road around 3:45 p.m. for reports of an unresponsive male on the 7th Hole. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say that at the time of the incident there were isolated thunderstorms in the area.

The cause of death was not immediately released. The man was not publicly identified.
