Pet owners scrambling to find their lost animals have a new place to turn for help – a local pizzeria.
The owner of Angelo’s Pizza in Matawan has launched a new program. Anyone who has a lost pet can bring in a flyer, which will be printed on the pizza boxes that are delivered around town.
“That flyer has that person's attention as they're walking out the door towards their car. You have their undivided attention for two or three minutes. They're looking down making sure they don't drop their pizza,” says owner John Sanfratello.
The program has already been successful in raising awareness for missing pets in town.
