The picture-perfect weekend across the Garden State encouraged residents to get outside.

For both days, the skies were mostly sunny and the temperatures were in the 70s.

At Pier Village in Long Branch, the boardwalk was packed.

The horse race in Oceanport drew in a large crowd, as well as the 49 annual New Jersey Irish festival on Sunday.

While the weekend was beautiful, rain is expected to develop for the workweek. But the early call for next weekend says it may be sunny and warm again.
