Pequannock police are searching for whoever left a young pit bull to die in the bitter cold this past week.
Honey the pit bull was found two nights ago when the temperatures were just 13 degrees. She was saved by animal control officer Shannon Casserly.
Casserly says it was so cold that her hand froze to a pole while she was attempting to rescue Honey. Casserly tells News 12 New Jersey, "There's a lot of good news for Honey. She's expected to make a full physical recovery. And she doesn't show signs of aggression toward humans or other animals, which means the likelihood of adoption is very high."
