Two pedestrian bridges closed in Wanaque are creating safety concerns.
The bridges are on a section of Conklintown Road.
Residents say anyone who walks in that area is forced to use the roadway which is more dangerous because of the curve and lack of a shoulder.
"I think the town has a responsibility to communicate with the townspeople and let them know when it’s going to be repaired,” says Tom Santagato, of Ringwood. “Or maybe put up some type of sign that there is a closure on the sidewalk ahead."
News 12 has reached out to the Borough of Wanaque and has not yet heard back.
