New Jersey residents gathered at Bradley Beach today to participate in a worldwide peaceful protest against offshore drilling.
The event, known as 'Hands Across the Sand,' started in Florida in February 2010 to protest offshore drilling and promote clean energy.
Some of those who came out to protest say they want to avoid a repeat of the BP oil spill that occurred in the Gulf of Mexico in April of 2010.
