The city of Paterson and the Passaic Valley Water Commission are teaming up to help residents who have had their water shut off.
The PVWC shut off water for 7,500 customers with past due accounts in the city last month. Officials shared information on payment plans that can help people pay their water bills.
"I just want to say that we need to continue to get the word out. We're not in the business of shutting water off, we're in the business of having quality drinking water,” said PVWC's Ruby Cotton.
