GREAT NEWS: Tilly has been adopted!

At almost 3 years old, Tilly has an enthusiasm that volunteers say is "truly contagious."

Described by the staff at Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter as "an energetic, strong, spunky and upbeat girl whose playful personality lights up every room she enters," Tilly would make a great companion for an active family. Volunteers say she's curious and loves adventure, from playing in the backyard to going on hikes or long walks.

Tilly, a mixed-breed, has been at the shelter for several months. According to volunteers, people interested in adoption often gravitate toward puppies.

"Sometimes older dogs just get overlooked in shelters," a volunteer told News 12.

As much as she loves to explore and have fun, workers at the shelter say Tilly also loves to cuddle and spend time lounging around with her humans.

"She thinks she's a lap dog," volunteers say.

Tilly is house-trained and seems to do well with kids and other dogs. She's been fully vaccinated and spayed. Through the month of August, her adoption fee has been waived.
