She may not hear every sound, but Chaka can feel when she's given affection, and now she's hoping to feel the love of a "furever" family.

At about 8 months old, Chaka is a normal, healthy puppy in nearly every way. She's playful, friendly and curious. But there's one trait that makes her stand out: Chaka is deaf.

"That doesn’t stop her from living life to the fullest and spreading joy wherever she goes," according to her bio on the Eleventh Hour Rescue website.

Chaka needs a little care when it comes to communication but she does know some basic commands, such as "sit." The 25-pound pup is also crate-trained, good with other pets and at ease with children.

Anyone interested in meeting or possibly adopting Chaka can visit Eleventh Hour Rescue's website at https://www.ehrdogs.org/animals/detail?AnimalID=21899387
