Hugo is a 17-month-old Staffordshire terrier/pointer mix, who is an affectionate, athletic and intelligent pup who also loves to snuggle and relax with his person.
He is available for adoption through Best Friend Dog and Animal Adoption, Inc. in Cranford.
Volunteers say Hugo will thrive in a home with plenty of stimulation, activities and structure to keep him happy and engaged. They also say he is dog-tolerant, but would do best in an one-pet home and with older children who can keep up with his playful spirit.
Workers also say that Hugo has been evaluated by a PSA trainer, who believes Hugo would excel in dog sports.
