This year also marked the five-year anniversary of the "Cop Adopt a Kid" program.
The program gives a mentor to each child by supporting, advising and guiding the kids to help create a better relationship between the departments and the community.
The program helps Paterson and the surrounding towns show that the community and police can work together.
