Paterson man found shot in driveway dies after being rushed to hospital

A 45-year-old Paterson man is dead after a shooting Tuesday night.
Police responded to reports of gunfire around 8:33 p.m. near East 26th Street and 10th Avenue.
When officers arrived, they found the victim lying in a residential driveway with a gunshot wound.
Emergency crews transported the man to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center.
Despite lifesaving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Authorities have not released the victim's identity.
Police have also not announced any arrests, suspects or a possible motive.
The investigation is ongoing.
