As friends, family members and colleagues paid their respects to a fallen Paterson police officer Friday, other officers were canvassing the area in the search for his killer.
Officer Tyron Franklin, 23, was off duty when he was gunned down Sunday morning. Authorities have been passing out flyers, hoping to find the killer before Franklin is laid to rest Saturday. Meanwhile, hundreds of officers from Paterson and neighboring towns filed into Christ Temple Baptist Church to pay their respects and offer their condolences.
The detailed sketch of Franklin?s suspected killer and information about reward money have been generating tips, but police have had no breakthroughs in finding his killer.
