Members of the Passaic Fire Department marched in a parade Sunday honoring 100 years of heroes fighting fires and saving lives.
The department was joined by dozens of others from neighboring communities along Passaic Avenue.
Chief Patrick Trentacost of the Passaic Fire Department says, "We have our surrounding communities that fight fires side by side with us. We rely heavily on mutual aid, not only into Passaic, but we go into other communities."
The parade was about two miles long and ended in 3rd Ward Park, where the community celebration continued.
