The Passaic County Board of Chosen Freeholders announced Tuesday the creation of the Passaic County Hall of Fame.
The board also announced its first generation of inductees, who include Larry Doby, Joe Piscopo, The Shirelles, Bucky Pizzarelli, Lou Costello and Sen. Frank R. Lautenberg.
"We're going to be doing this every year. We will be inducting more people every year. We had to start somewhere. This is where we started,” Passaic County Deputy Director Bruce James said.
The public is welcome to come to the William J. Bate Memorial Courthouse Plaza in Paterson to view the Hall of Fame. It is open every day from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
