A Parsippany man angry over his tax bill may have taken his complaining a little too far.
Councilmember John Cesaro (R-Parsippany) and Governor Jon Corzine (D-NJ) both received what Cesaro considers a threatening postcard from the same man. Peter Capra says he didn?t mean for his postcard to sound threatening. The 71-year-old man says he sent the letters because he was angry about his tax bill.
The letters Capra sent caught the attention of state police. Investigators visited Capra at his home to find out what his true intentions were. Capra says he was just exercising his First Amendment rights and isn?t out to hurt anybody. Police in Parsippany are looking into the matter and no charges have been filed.
