Marine Cpl. Visnu Gonzalez became paralyzed from the chest down five years ago when he was struck by a sniper's bullet in Iraq. Homes For Our Troops, a national nonprofit organization, stepped in to build Gonzales and his mother a new home, hoping that would help ease the burden.
Homes For Our Troops has built 44 homes for wounded veterans across the country.
