Palisades Park police are searching for a serial purse snatcher who slashed his latest victim in the head.
Investigators say the latest victim was sitting at a bus stop Wednesday when the man came up from behind her and grabbed her purse. Before taking off, the man hit her in the head with something sharp.
The victim was treated at a hospital and has since been released.
Officials say the suspect is responsible for four other purse snatchings.
