An overturned tractor-trailer that caused commuting headaches Tuesday morning near Route 46 West and Route 23 South in Wayne
has been removed from the highway.
Officials say the driver of the vehicle lost control and overturned. The
driver apparently was OK, as was the cargo, which appeared to be large
rolls of brown paper.
The accident caused major backups for drivers trying to
get on the ramp to Route 23 South off Route 46.
It’s believed some anti-freeze from the engine was spilled on the
roadway. After several hours of cleanup, the rig was up-righted
and towed away just before 10
a.m.
