A social media promoter who attempted to organize several so-called “pop-up” parties at the Jersey Shore has issued an apology about the attempt.
A judge granted an injunction earlier this week banning a planned pop-up party in Seaside Heights that was supposed to take place next week. The party organizer was told they cannot hold the event on May 5, May 6 or June 17.
The organizer posted the apology on the Instagram account named “
RatedRParties.”
"Everyone please don't make the same mistake I've made with these ‘link up’ parties because now look what I have to face this was supposed to be a social gathering, a simple get together but this was just a mistake that I have to face. Everyone for the love of God please don't go to Seaside or Wildwood the day of the link ups I can't stress this enough,” the organizer wrote.
Over the last couple of years, pop-up parties began to get noticed by local beach communities. Two people died last September during a pop-up rally in Wildwood. In 2020, a large crowd took over Point Pleasant Beach, leaving behind garbage and empty alcohol bottles and drawing many complaints from neighbors.
