An Open NJ Rally was held at the Green in Newton Tuesday afternoon.

Organizers say that the goal was to hold a peaceful demonstration against the COVID-19 lockdown impacting small businesses.

The rally started with an interfaith prayer.

Gov. Phil Murphy announced Tuesday afternoon that his stay-at-home orders have been lifted. New Jersey will be entering Phase 2 of the reopening plan on June 15.
