The Olympics opening ceremonies start tonight in Rio de Janeiro.
Several athletes competing in the games are from New Jersey, with a total of 29 Olympians going for gold.
Tonight's ceremony will consist of 4,800 performers and volunteers.
Security is expected to be tight. Officials held numerous safety drills leading up to the Games, including a test yesterday to make sure military firefighters can get from the station to the Olympic stadium in less than five minutes.
Sydney McGlaughin, 16, is the youngest track and field Olympian to participate in the Olympics in decades.
There is also speculation that the Brazilian soccer legend Pele could light the Olympic cauldron.
