State and local firefighters are continuing to contain a wildfire that sparked Saturday in Essex County.
The New Jersey Forest Fire Service says the blaze is 60% contained with 140 acres impacted.
No injuries have been reported and no businesses or homes have been affected.
The Livingston fire chief says Department of Public Works crews brought in bulldozers to move trees and pave paths for the firetrucks to get too hard-to-reach spots. Fire crews say recent drought conditions are making the firefighting effort challenging.
"These are kind of unprecedented fire danger conditions that we're experiencing now," said Eric Weber, with the New Jersey Forest Fire Service.
Fire officials say residents should expect to continue seeing smoke and haze over the next couple of days as crews work to continue to get it fully contained.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
