After days of battling a warehouse fire in North Brunswick, hundreds of firefighters are breathing a sigh of relief as the fire is finally contained.
News 12 has been following the fire since early Wednesday, when flames consumed the warehouse, forcing nearly 200 nearby residents out of their homes.
Throughout the extinguishing process, other fire companies from various towns descended on the scene to provide further support to fellow firefighters. Officials say 100 fire companies worked around the clock to fight the fire.
Mayor Francis Womack says authorities will continue to work together to investigate the cause of the massive blaze.
The North Brunswick Police Department, fire department and county prosecutors are handling the investigation.
