Officials: Man killed in police-involved shooting in Browns Mills fired at officers

Officials say that Marvin Taylor, of Browns Mills, was fatally shot by a police officer Saturday afternoon.

Authorities have identified the man who died in a police-involved shooting in Burlington County over the weekend.

Officials say that Marvin Taylor, of Browns Mills, was fatally shot by a police officer Saturday afternoon. Police were responding to reports of smoke coming from a home. Officials say that Taylor was at the home with a gun.

Authorities say that offices ordered Taylor to drop the weapon, but he shot at them instead. Police returned fire and Taylor was wounded and died at the hospital, according to officials.

The New Jersey Office of the Attorney General is investigating the incident.
