Officials say they discovered the body of a 27-year-old man in a lake in northern New Jersey after he went missing when his canoe capsized.
Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp said Tuesday in a statement authorities discovered the deceased man about 9:30 a.m. in White Meadow Lake.
Knapp says the man's name is not being released at the request of family.
The cause and manner of the man's death were not released.
A search began for the man Sunday about 3 a.m. when police arrived at the lake for reports of a capsized canoe containing two men.
Officials rescued a 26-year-old man who was taken to the hospital and later released. His name was not released.
