Monmouth County residents -- listen up. The U.S. and New Jersey Departments of Agriculture have confirmed the state's first case of a highly pathogenic avian influenza.
The disease was discovered in a backyard duck and chicken flock.
State and federal officials are working on a response, including quarantining the site.
