A child and a woman died in a house fire in Nutley Saturday afternoon, officials say.
They say 29-year-old Amanda Russo and her 7-year-old child died in the fire on the 300 block of Park Avenue.
A neighbor, Joe Caprio, tells News 12 that he was able to help bring a man to safety.
The second floor of the home was destroyed in the fire and the first floor is boarded up.
