An officer has been suspended from her job this after being accused of a hit-and-run that killed a 75‑year‑old woman and her dog in Voorhees.

Shakira Carter, a 34‑year‑old juvenile detention officer in Camden County, is under arrest. The victim has not been named.

Carter is said to have left the crash scene Saturday night before later going back.
