The National Weather Service confirmed that an EF0 tornado touched down in Pemberton Township Friday.
Severe storms left damage and power outages across New Jersey.
A tree went down in front of a home on Sheep Pen Hill Road in Pemberton. Luckily, there was no damage to the home. The family who lives in the home owns a blueberry field across the road.
"I was down the road in the packing house packing blueberries when I saw the storm from across the field, so I sent the guys out to go send the hand pickers home," says Jon Haines.
The blueberry farm and his home were in the path of the tornado.
"It was about dark as night, all of our picking trays were blowing around," says Haines. "It went straight across my parents' driveway in their front yard."
The National Weather Service says it's the ninth tornado of the year to hit the Garden State.
