“No Shave November” is a charity event to raise awareness for colorectal cancer. The officers gathered at the Eye Contact Vision Center in North Bergen to get shaved. The business is owned by a cancer survivor.
There were 91 members of the department who participated in the event. They raised more than $5,000 to go toward cancer research.
“No Shave November” was started with the goal of raising awareness by growing out facial hair when many cancer patients lose it.
