A 36-year-old man wanted in connection with a deadly hit-and-run in North Bergen last week has surrendered to police.
Olvy Torres, 36, is suspected of killing Luisa Valdez, a grandmother and mother of three, and fleeing the scene.
Torres was allegedly behind the wheel of an SUV when it crashed into a bus shelter near Hackensack Meridian Health Palisades Medical Center.
He faces one count of leaving the scene of a deadly accident.
