The Ocean County Library is ending book fines, by action taken at the Ocean County Library Commission's June 15 meeting.
As of now, no one will be fined for overdue books.
The library's mission is to connect people, build community, and transform lives. The library says eliminating overdue fines will further the mission by removing barriers to the library's resources.
