(AP) - Authorities say a New Jersey womanallegedly forced into prostitution by a stranger who bailed her outof jail was rescued after she sent a message to her brother inFlorida via Facebook. Hackensack police tell The Record that 29-year-old Trenace McCarroll facesnumerous charges, including criminal restraint and promotingprostitution.
Police say the 30-year-old south Jersey woman wrote in themessage that she was being held against her will. Her brothercalled authorities in south Jersey, who notified Hackensack police.
Officers then went to an apartment where they believed she wasbeing held and found McCarroll's girlfriend there, along withillegal drugs.
They then contacted McCarroll, who said the drugs were his. Hethen came to police headquarters with the victim, unaware thatauthorities were looking for her.
