New Jersey braces for bitter cold temperatures this weekend. 
Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Dave Curren says the state will see clear skies tonight, but the nice weather won't stick around for long. An arctic bitter blast is heading toward New Jersey this weekend, which could feature subzero windchills. 
NEW: The coming cold is going to be uncomfortable just not as cold as once thought. Coldest of the year. January was a record breaker, but the that cold snap from late December might have been colder. We’ll have to wait and see. 
NOW: Clearing skies and temperatures will be fading tonight. Nothing record breaking, but February is starting off on a February note 
NEXT: Friday and Saturday is when the worst of the cold we be upon us. But after that, we warm it back up. Early next week forecast is calling for temperatures to be back in the 50s. 
THURSDAY: Mix of sun and clouds. Daytime highs around 44 degrees. Overnight temperatures cool to the low- to mid-20s.
FRIDAY: Mostly sunny skies, with colder temperatures. Daytime highs in the upper-20s. Overnight lows around 21.
SATURDAY: Colder temperatures move in. Daytime highs only reach the mid-20s. Overnight lows drop to single digits.
SUNDAY: Temperatures rebound, with daytime highs in the mid-40s and overnight lows around 22. Mostly cloudy skies with the chance of some rain.
