New Jersey union workers made a lot of noise throughout the Garden State Thursday rallying against proposed changes to benefits and pensions.
Members of the Communications Workers of America (CWA) picketed in several cities against the state?s proposed benefit changes. CWA members say the changes are part of a property tax relief plan that state lawmakers may soon vote on. Part of the plan includes workers contributing more to health care.
CWA?s president says the union will use all of its strength to protect its workers. At least 30,000 union workers plan to rally against the proposed changes at the Capitol building in Trenton on December 11.
