NJ Transit now says it wasn't a disabledtrain that slowed commuters in and out of New York City's PennStation.
Spokesman Dan Stessel says there is a problem with Amtrak'soverhead wire in the south rail tube and commuters can expect"significant delays." That's because only one track haselectricity.
Stessel says Northeast Corridor, Midtown Direct and North JerseyCoast Line trains are running 45 to 60 minutes behind schedule.
PATH and buses are honoring NJ Transit rail passes.
No word when the problem will be fixed.
The disabled train was stuck in the tunnel for about an houruntil it was removed at 7:07 a.m.
Amtrak says its trains are running about 15 minutes behindschedule.
