NJ Transit relaunches FLEXPASS ticket option for riders
New Jersey Transit announced on Tuesday that the agency is relaunching its popular FLEXPASS for riders.
NJ Transit says the FLEXPASS tickets will be available for purchase through the NJ Transit app, ticket vending machines or at ticket offices. The pass will allow customers to buy 20 one-way tickets at a 15% discount and use those tickets over a 30-day period.
“We are pleased to bring back FLEXPASS, one of our most popular ticketing options,” NJ TRANSIT President and CEO Kris Kolluri wrote in a statement. “We listened to our customers when they said they wanted more flexible options to match their travel needs, and FLEXPASS provides that flexibility combined with significant savings for commuters.”
The tickets will be available for bus, rail and light rail riders and will be available starting on Feb. 15. NJ Transit says customers may only buy and own one FLEXPASS per mode at a time.
The program was first introduced in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
